The Battle of Jutland on the 31st May to 1st June 1916 was the ultimate showdown between the Royal Navy's Grand fleet and the German High Sea's Fleet.
It was a confrontation that the two countries had been building towards throughout the previous decade and was hoped by the Royal Naval Admiralty that it would decide the Naval war in the North Sea.
For an outline of the battle click here.
This Blog is a tester for a larger project to list and name all of the German sailors who took part as part of the High Sea's fleet and as a counter part of the Royal Navy page (here).
This page is very much under construction and even the pages that have been published (so far Moltke and Frauenlob) are still being worked on so please be patient as I work on this in my own time.
